Sanl\u00facar de Barrameda is located in one of the warmest regions of Europe, Andalusia, and is one of the main communities in the province of C\u00e1diz, the most southern province in the Iberian Peninsula. This city is located in the northwest of C\u00e1diz, on the left bank of the mouth of the Guadalquivir River, the longest navigable river in Spain and on the opposite bank of the main natural reserve in Europe, the National Park of Do\u00f1ana.<\/p>\n
Sanl\u00facar has a microclimate with the mildest temperatures in the province. Its climate is similar to that of the Mediterranean areas, with pleasant temperatures all year around and an average temperature of 17\u00ba C.<\/p>\n
One of Sanlucars strongest features is its light, with different intensities and shades, very appreciated by expert photographers from around the world. We have around 3000 hours of sun per year. This favors the amiable and hospitable nature of the sanluque\u00f1os (Sanlucars habitants).<\/p>\n
Sanl\u00facar occupies an extension of 166,18 km. It is surrounded by nature, the river, natural parks, countryside…, all very valued from an environmental point of view. Sanlucar limits with other towns that have varied and interesting cultural, landscaping, patrimonial… attractions. It limits with the Guadalquivir River, the National Park of Do\u00f1ana and Trebujena in the North; Jerez in the East; Rota and El Puerto de Santa Mar\u00eda in the South; and Chipiona, the Atlantic Ocean and the Guadalquivir River again to the West.<\/p>\n
Its current population (2020) is estimated at 69205 people, being one of the youngest ones of Spain.<\/p>\n
