Sanlúcar, with its agricultural and livestock activity, has traditionally been closely linked to the horse. Both the thoroughbreds and the Spanish horse, the Anglo-Arabs or the most frequent crossed horses find their place in Sanlúcar.
There are several events that take place throughout the year in Sanlúcar, in which the horse takes a special role, from the aforementioned Horse Races on the beach, to various festivals and pilgrimages, highlighting the Romería del Rocío, which is the example maximum participation and symbiosis between the horse and the party in our area.
At present, there are also several service companies that offer the visitor the possibility of excursions on horseback through the privileged environment of Sanlúcar, as well as receiving introductory classes to horseback riding, jumping classes and dressage and cowgirl. They also organize visits to the traditional Andalusian farmhouse with wild cattle, walks through the surroundings of Doñana in horse carriages, all this among many other country activities.
