RUTA DE LA SANLÚCAR BARROCA
La época de mayor auge comercial en Sanlúcar coincidió con uno de los movimientos artísticos más importantes de Andalucía, el Barroco. Las iglesias y los palacios barrocos se encuentran en gran parte del espacio urbano. Aconsejamos el siguiente recorrido.
RUTA SANLÚCAR - BARRIO ALTO
Es la zona más antigua de Sanlúcar. En la época medieval estaba protegido con una muralla de la que quedan algunos restos.
Siguiendo esta ruta, se hace un recorrido a través de la historia más antigua de Sanlúcar.
RUTA JARDINES HISTÓRICOS DE SANLÚCAR
Sanlúcar ha sido cruce de caminos donde se funden diversas condiciones monumentales y naturales que la enriquecen. Esta cualidad fue ya observada en 1806, cuando Godoy promovió en Sanlúcar el Jardín Botánico de Aclimatación con idea de fomentar la agricultura científica.
RUTA SANLÚCAR - BARRIO BAJO
La estratégica situación de Sanlúcar de Barrameda, en la vía de comunicación comercial entre el puerto de Sevilla y el continente americano influyó crucialmente en el devenir histórico de la ciudad. Gracias a la importancia mercantil del puerto de Sanlúcar, la ciudad se convirtió en residencia de comerciantes y en lugar de partida de numerosas ordenes religiosas que evangelizaron el Nuevo Mundo, edificándose singulares palacios y conventos.
